Our Mandate

Established to serve the professional and social needs of engineers in the Regina area and to support interaction between its members, local technical societies, engineering students and major engineering employers.

The Regina Engineering Society (RES) is a Constituent Society of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).

Individuals licensed by APEGS are permitted to undertake and assume responsibility for engineering work in Saskatchewan.

Our Mission

Serve the professional and social needs of engineers in the Regina area and to support interaction between its members, local technical societies, engineering students and engineering employers.

Our Objectives

The objectives shall be to promote the objectives and interests of the Engineering Profession in close cooperation with APEGS as follows:

  • To facilitate the exchange of professional knowledge among its members;
  • To advance the professional and social welfare of its members;
  • To promote good relations between engineers and members of allied professions;
  • To promote the engineering profession to the public;
  • To collaborate with universities and other institutions in the advancement of engineering education;
  • To promote and assist in the education of youth groups in fields related to the engineering profession; and
  • To cooperate with other Constituent Societies for the advancement of mutual interests.

What is RES?

The Regina Engineering Society (RES) was established to serve the professional and social needs of engineers in the Regina area and to support interaction between its members.

RES Executive and Society Committee

Comprised of both appointed Professional Engineers and Engineers-in-Training registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).

Annual General Meetings

Every year the Society gathers to participate in the yearly reports from the Executive Committee, President’s Address and Elections.

Awards

RES recognizes member accomplishments including outstanding leadership, technical ability, dedication to the improvement of society/community and passion/promise to the profession of Engineering through its awards.
